Conference Details if Flying into IAD

IAD Shuttle Information for Washington – Dulles (IAD) 


Registration includes all conference sessions, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon action labs, and free shuttle service to/from Dulles International Airport (IAD).  Your arrival and departure time may impact food service availability.  Free shuttle service applies only to scheduled shuttles. Choose your shuttle times and flight details on the registration form. In addition, the shuttle service impacts dinner, breakfast and lunch times; accordingly, choose appropriate meals on the registration form.


Shuttle Schedule from IAD (Dulles International) to NCTC

      *FREE shuttle service is available at the times shown below.  When choosing a shuttle, please allow a minimum of 2-4 hours at IAD to deplane, claim luggage, and get to the shuttle.  Please provide flight times as soon as possible.

  • Saturday Early Conference Arrival from IAD to NCTC (Oct 22)

    Breakfast: 6:30am - 9:00am  (Hot food until 8:30am)
    Lunch: 11:30am - 1:30pm (Hot food until 1:00pm)
    Dinner: 5:30pm - 7:30pm (Hot food until 7:30pm)  |  Dinner Sunday:  5:30pm - 9:30pm (Hot food until 9:30pm)

     

      If arriving at NCTC after 7:30pm Monday-Saturday or after 9:30pm Sunday, you may request an NCTC Box Dinner to pickup at the NCTC registration desk upon your arrival. Use the conference registration form to request.
       If departing NCTC on the 7:00am shuttle, you may request a to-go-breakfast. 
       If departing NCTC on the 12:30pm shuttle, eat onsite at 11:30am, or, visit the dining hall to make a to-go-lunch.
       Indicate your dietary restrictions (such as vegetarian meals, gluten-free meals, nut allergy, etc.) on the registration form.

    Delegates using the Shuttle confirm both their room and their shuttle selection. AREA will provide NCTC with your  selections; individuals later call to personally confirm with NCTC.



    Five-Day Window before Confirming Room and Shuttle

    5-Days AFTER 
    Beginning SEPTEMBER 7
    (through October 7-the guaranteed room date) confirm your room and shuttle directly by telephoning the Hotel Reservations office at 304-876-7900. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Tell the contact you are with the AREA conference.  Plan for approximately $152 (including meals) per person per night which should cover a room with NCTC meals. (Updated August 12, 2016)

     

    DIRECTIONS TO SHUTTLE PICKUP AREA AT DULLES 
    From the main terminal, follow the signs to baggage pickup and proceed to the appropriate baggage carousel to claim your luggage. Once you have claimed your luggage, proceed to Exit 7, directly across from the luggage carousels 2 and 3, proceed up the exit ramp to the shuttle pick up location. The bus is signed with 'Reston Limousine Service' along with 'NCTC'. Picture ID is required to board the shuttle. The shuttle departs on time.


    PERSONAL COMFORTS on SHUTTLE To/From NCTC
    Please make sure that all personal comforts are attended to prior to boarding the shuttle as there are no scheduled stops between the airport and NCTC.  Travel time between Dulles Airport and the NCTC is approximately two hours.
